About writingforu
Writing software, tested by a writer.
writingforu is an independent review site about the software writers actually use: drafting apps, editors, formatting tools, newsletter platforms and the AI tools that keep showing up in all of them.
Who runs it
writingforu is run by Muhammad Sahil, a marketer and developer who has spent years building websites and writing for clients. Every review is written by a person who used the app on a real manuscript, not by summarising the vendor's feature page.
What we promise
- We test before we write. Every app gets the same manuscript and the same checklist. Read how we test.
- No paid placements. Brands can't buy a review, a ranking or a score. Read our editorial policy.
- We say how we make money. Some links earn us a commission. It never changes what we recommend. Read our affiliate disclosure.
- We keep it current. Prices are re-checked on the official site, and every article shows when it was last updated and what changed.
